OTTAWA (Reuters) – Canadian housing begins rose 8% in November, beating market expectations, pushed primarily by multi-unit begins in Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia, knowledge from the nationwide housing company confirmed on Monday.
The seasonally adjusted annualized charge of housing begins rose to 262,443 items from an upwardly revised 242,207 items in October, the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Company stated.
Economists anticipated the quantity to rise to 245,100 items in November.
