U.S. shares blended at shut of commerce; Dow Jones Industrial Common down 0.25%


Investing.com – U.S. shares have been blended after the shut on Monday, as beneficial properties within the Shopper Items, Expertise and Shopper Providers sectors led shares greater whereas losses within the Telecoms, Oil & Fuel and Primary Supplies sectors led shares decrease.

On the shut in NYSE, the Dow Jones Industrial Common fell 0.25%, whereas the S&P 500 index added 0.38%, and the NASDAQ Composite index gained 1.24%.

One of the best performers of the session on the Dow Jones Industrial Common have been Honeywell Worldwide Inc (NASDAQ:HON), which rose 3.68% or 8.37 factors to commerce at 235.99 on the shut. In the meantime, Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) added 2.40% or 5.47 factors to finish at 232.93 and Boeing Co (NYSE:BA) was up 2.10% or 3.57 factors to 173.22 in late commerce.

The worst performers of the session have been Unitedhealth Group (NYSE:UNH), which fell 4.22% or 21.98 factors to commerce at 498.50 on the shut. Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ) declined 3.31% or 1.40 factors to finish at 40.88 and Chevron Corp (NYSE:CVX) was down 2.96% or 4.55 factors to 149.32.

The highest performers on the S&P 500 have been Broadcom Inc (NASDAQ:AVGO) which rose 11.21% to 250.00, Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) which was up 6.10% to settle at 462.82 and Micron Expertise Inc (NASDAQ:MU) which gained 5.62% to shut at 108.26.

The worst performers have been Tremendous Micro Laptop Inc (NASDAQ:SMCI) which was down 8.26% to 33.44 in late commerce, CVS Well being Corp (NYSE:CVS) which misplaced 5.61% to settle at 46.60 and Phillips 66 (NYSE:PSX) which was down 5.24% to 116.29 on the shut.

The highest performers on the NASDAQ Composite have been Sidus Area Inc (NASDAQ:SIDU) which rose 220.28% to 4.58, Tonix Prescription drugs Holding Corp (NASDAQ:TNXP) which was up 120.37% to settle at 0.53 and Syntec Optics Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:OPTX) which gained 80.60% to shut at 1.78.

The worst performers have been Sobr Secure Inc (NASDAQ:SOBR) which was down 67.79% to 1.15 in late commerce, Zoomcar Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:ZCAR) which misplaced 66.22% to settle at 1.75 and Akoustis Applied sciences Inc (NASDAQ:AKTS) which was down 40.03% to 0.04 on the shut.

Falling shares outnumbered advancing ones on the New York Inventory Trade by 1713 to 1099 and 74 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Inventory Trade, 1677 fell and 1646 superior, whereas 122 ended unchanged.

Shares in Broadcom Inc (NASDAQ:AVGO) rose to all time highs; gaining 11.21% or 25.20 to 250.00. Shares in Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) rose to all time highs; gaining 6.10% or 26.59 to 462.82. Shares in CVS Well being Corp (NYSE:CVS) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.61% or 2.77 to 46.60. Shares in Phillips 66 (NYSE:PSX) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.24% or 6.43 to 116.29. Shares in Honeywell Worldwide Inc (NASDAQ:HON) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.68% or 8.37 to 235.99. Shares in Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) rose to all time highs; rising 2.40% or 5.47 to 232.93. Shares in Sobr Secure Inc (NASDAQ:SOBR) fell to all time lows; shedding 67.79% or 2.42 to 1.15. Shares in Zoomcar Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:ZCAR) fell to all time lows; shedding 66.22% or 3.43 to 1.75. Shares in Akoustis Applied sciences Inc (NASDAQ:AKTS) fell to all time lows; shedding 40.03% or 0.03 to 0.04.

The CBOE Volatility Index, which measures the implied volatility of S&P 500 choices, was up 6.37% to 14.69.

Gold Futures for February supply was down 0.21% or 5.58 to $2,670.22 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities buying and selling, Crude oil for supply in January fell 1.57% or 1.12 to hit $70.17 a barrel, whereas the February Brent oil contract fell 0.93% or 0.69 to commerce at $73.80 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.05, whereas USD/JPY rose 0.36% to 154.20.

The US Greenback Index Futures was down 0.11% at 106.57.
