Taiwan shares greater at shut of commerce; Taiwan Weighted up 0.07%


Investing.com – Taiwan shares have been greater after the shut on Wednesday, as positive factors within the Digital Merchandise Distribution, Equipment and Rubber sectors led shares greater.

On the shut in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted rose 0.07%.

One of the best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted have been Episil-Precision Inc (TW:3016), which rose 10.00% or 4.50 factors to commerce at 49.50 on the shut. In the meantime, Taiwan Chelic Corp Ltd (TW:4555) added 9.98% or 4.15 factors to finish at 45.75 and Altek Corp (TW:3059) was up 9.97% or 3.60 factors to 39.70 in late commerce.

The worst performers of the session have been ALi Corp (TW:3041), which fell 6.29% or 2.35 factors to commerce at 35.00 on the shut. Powertech Industrial Co Ltd (TW:3296) declined 5.75% or 1.85 factors to finish at 30.30 and Tai Twun Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:3432) was down 5.71% or 1.05 factors to 17.35.

Falling shares outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Inventory Trade by 0 to 0.

Crude oil for February supply was down 0.09% or 0.06 to $70.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities buying and selling, Brent oil for supply in March rose 1.24% or 0.90 to hit $73.22 a barrel, whereas the February Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to commerce at $2,633.50 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.03% to 32.70, whereas TWD/CNY unchanged 0.00% to 0.22.

The US Greenback Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.00.
