Gold Futures for February supply was up 0.46% or 12.21 to $2,647.71 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities buying and selling, Crude oil for supply in February fell 0.23% or 0.16 to hit $69.94 a barrel, whereas the March Brent oil contract fell 0.16% or 0.12 to commerce at $73.05 a barrel.
GBP/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.25, whereas EUR/GBP unchanged 0.43% to 0.83.
The US Greenback Index Futures was down 0.13% at 107.89.
