Tesla to repair software program for 77,650 China-made autos, says market regulator

BEIJING (Reuters) – Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) will repair software program in 77,650 China-made Mannequin 3 and Mannequin Y vehicles over security hazards, China’s market regulator mentioned on Tuesday.

The motion, because of software program points that will fail to show the monitored tyre stress instantly after the automobile begins, is described as a product recall below Chinese language rules, the regulator mentioned. It was not instantly clear if drivers would possibly want, or can be eligible, to return autos to Tesla for refunds.

The U.S. electrical automobile maker can be recalling 63 imported Mannequin S and Mannequin X vehicles in China over points with the driving force’s frontal airbag.
