Mexico shares greater at shut of commerce; S&P/BMV IPC up 0.52%


Investing.com – Mexico shares had been greater after the shut on Monday, as positive aspects within the Industrials, Client Items & Providers and Client Staples sectors led shares greater.

On the shut in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.52%.

One of the best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC had been Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:GENTERA), which rose 3.36% or 0.80 factors to commerce at 24.63 on the shut. In the meantime, Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB) added 3.18% or 0.84 factors to finish at 27.24 and Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:VOLARA) was up 2.16% or 0.36 factors to 17.03 in late commerce.

The worst performers of the session had been Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ALSEA), which fell 4.74% or 2.08 factors to commerce at 41.82 on the shut. Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO) declined 4.72% or 0.35 factors to finish at 7.06 and Cemex SAB de CV (BMV:CEMEXCPO) was down 3.65% or 0.42 factors to 11.10.

Rising shares outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Inventory Change by 119 to 95 and 16 ended unchanged.

Shares in Alsea, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ALSEA) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.74% or 2.08 to 41.82.

Gold Futures for February supply was down 1.23% or 33.39 to $2,681.61 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities buying and selling, Crude oil for supply in March rose 1.89% or 1.43 to hit $77.18 a barrel, whereas the March Brent oil contract rose 1.40% or 1.12 to commerce at $80.88 a barrel.

USD/MXN was down 0.11% to twenty.68, whereas EUR/MXN fell 0.32% to 21.14.

The US Greenback Index Futures was up 0.16% at 109.66.
