Trump’s US Treasury choose says query of debt restrict repeal is ‘nuanced’


(Reuters) – Scott Bessent, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s selection to move the Treasury Division, on Thursday stated the query of eliminating the U.S. debt restrict is “nuanced,” however stated if Trump desires to take action he’ll work with him and with Congress to get it finished.

“The debt restrict is a really nuanced conference,” Bessent instructed the U.S. Senate Finance Committee in response to a query from U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren about whether or not he would help its repeal. “Look, the USA just isn’t going to default on its debt if I am confirmed.
