Trump floats concept of common tariff however says US not prepared for it but


WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Republican U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday floated the thought of common tariffs however stated the US was not but prepared for such a step.

“We’re not prepared for that but. We might put it … as a result of primarily international locations reap the benefits of the U.S.,” Trump informed reporters on the White Home.

“Nicely, you place a common tariff on anyone doing enterprise in the US as a result of they’re coming in and so they’re stealing our wealth, they’re stealing our jobs, they’re stealing our firms, they’re hurting our firms. So you place a you place a tariff on to maintain them from doing that,” Trump, who took workplace on Monday, added.
