Automakers urge USDOT to shortly restart federal EV charging program


WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A bunch representing automakers and electrical automobile charging corporations on Friday urged the U.S. Transportation Division to shortly restart a $5 billion authorities EV infrastructure program.

On Thursday, the Trump administration stated it was suspending the electrical automobile charging program and rescinding approval of state EV charging plans pending a brand new overview.

The Electrical Drive Transportation Affiliation, whose members embrace Common Motors, Toyota, BorgWarner, EVGo, Walmart and others, stated it urged the Trump administration “to shortly resume the vital work of this system and reduce uncertainty for states and their companies.”
