BERLIN (Reuters) – Europe is ready to behave in response to doable restrictions to commerce, German Financial system Minister Robert Habeck mentioned on Monday, after holding discussions with trade lobbies and the EU’s high commerce consultant about the specter of tariffs from the U.S.
“Europe should and may solely react unitedly and decisively to unilateral commerce restrictions. And we’re ready for this,” Habeck mentioned in an announcement.
Habeck held a roundtable with trade on future trans-Atlantic relations on Monday and spoke with EU commerce commissioner Maros Sefcovic on the cellphone, in accordance with the assertion.
