President Donald Trump has introduced a 25% tax on all automobile imports and automobile components to the US – they’re on account of are available on 2 April together with tariffs on many different items in what Mr Trump is asking “Liberation Day”.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves says the UK will not impose retaliatory tariffs but, in hopes of a deal being struck between the 2 nations.
