Canadian greenback weakens, benchmark yield climbs


The Canadian greenback weakened in opposition to the buck on Wednesday, and the yield on benchmark authorities debt climbed.

The loonie was buying and selling 0.2% decrease at C$1.3985 to the buck, or 71.51 U.S. cents, after buying and selling in a variety of 1.3951 to 1.3999.

Canadian authorities 10-year bond yields rose 4.2 foundation factors to three.377%. The yield on comparable U.S. authorities benchmark debt rose to 4.4316%.

U.S. December crude futures rose 71 cents to $70.1 a barrel on Wednesday.
