Hungary requests US sanctions exemption for fuel funds to Gazprombank


BUDAPEST (Reuters) – Hungary has requested the USA to exempt Russia’s Gazprombank from sanctions with regards to funds for pure fuel as these sanctions may negatively have an effect on some U.S. allies, Hungary’s overseas minister stated on Wednesday.

America imposed new sanctions on Russia’s Gazprombank on Nov. 21 as President Joe Biden steps up measures to punish Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine earlier than he leaves workplace in January.
