Mexico shares greater at shut of commerce; S&P/BMV IPC up 0.72%


Investing.com – Mexico shares had been greater after the shut on Friday, as features within the Industrials, Shopper Items & Providers and Shopper Staples sectors led shares greater.

On the shut in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC gained 0.72%.

The perfect performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC had been Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ELEKTRA), which rose 17.80% or 71.02 factors to commerce at 470.10 on the shut. In the meantime, Wal Mart de Mexico SAB de CV (BMV:WALMEX) added 7.86% or 4.49 factors to finish at 61.59 and Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (BMV:BOLSAA) was up 4.26% or 1.44 factors to 35.22 in late commerce.

The worst performers of the session had been Orbia Advance Company SAB de CV (BMV:ORBIA), which fell 5.34% or 0.96 factors to commerce at 17.03 on the shut. Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:Q) declined 4.93% or 8.50 factors to finish at 163.92 and Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ALSEA) was down 3.26% or 1.50 factors to 44.57.

Falling shares outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Inventory Trade by 147 to 93 and eight ended unchanged.

Shares in Orbia Advance Company SAB de CV (BMV:ORBIA) fell to 5-year lows; falling 5.34% or 0.96 to 17.03.

Gold Futures for February supply was down 1.56% or 42.34 to $2,667.06 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities buying and selling, Crude oil for supply in January rose 1.51% or 1.06 to hit $71.08 a barrel, whereas the February Brent oil contract rose 1.24% or 0.91 to commerce at $74.32 a barrel.

USD/MXN was down 0.26% to twenty.15, whereas EUR/MXN unchanged 0.02% to 21.16.

The US Greenback Index Futures was down 0.00% at 106.64.
