Kinder Morgan shuts two Los Angeles gas pipelines attributable to energy outages

(Reuters) -Pipeline operator Kinder Morgan Inc (NYSE:KMI) stated that two of its gas pipelines in Los Angeles have been shut since Jan. 8 attributable to energy outages, as probably the most harmful wildfires within the metropolis’s historical past continued to burn uncontained on Thursday.

The corporate stated the 515-mile (828.8 km) SFPP West pipeline and 566-mile CALNEV pipelines should not instantly impacted by the fires, and it expects them to renew service as soon as energy has been restored.

California refineries had about 5.2 million barrels of CARB gasoline in stockpiles as of Jan. 3, in response to information from the California Power Fee. To date there have been no reviews of refinery outages within the state because of the wildfires.
