Trump vows to hit EU with tariffs, eyes 10% tariff on China on Feb. 1


(Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump vowed to hit the European Union with tariffs and stated his administration was discussing imposing a ten% tariff on items imported from China on Feb. 1 as a result of fentanyl is being despatched from China to Mexico and Canada.

Trump, talking to reporters on the White Home, stated he had already imposed giant tariffs on China throughout his first time period. He stated the European Union and others additionally had troubling commerce imbalances with america.

“The European Union could be very, very unhealthy to us,” he stated, repeating feedback made Monday. “So they are going to be in for tariffs. It is the one manner … you are going to get equity.”
